InfoWorks was named Corporate Business of the Year by the Nashville Black Chamber of Commerce at its Annual Luncheon and Black Business Awards held on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. Nashville Black Chamber board member, Deidre Thomas of Hoskins & Company made the award presentation.
In her remarks, Thomas noted InfoWorks and its “steadfast and continuing support of the Nashville Black Chamber” as the reason for the award. Over the last two years, InfoWorks has underwritten and managed the redesign of the Nashville Black Chamber’s website as well as provided an InfoWorks staff member, Donna Kumar, to assist the Board with website maintenance, press releases, event assistance, and marketing materials design and publication.
The award was presented to Jim Clayton, CEO of InfoWorks. In his acceptance remarks, Mr. Clayton thanked the Nashville Black Chamber and noted that his friend, former colleague and manager at IBM, the late Al Bodie, is the reason he became involved with the Nashville Black Chamber. He continues to serve as a member of the Nashville Black Chamber Board because of the dedication of the organization in serving its membership to improve their economic status.
