Experienced organizational change management and business strategist to expand depth and expertise of InfoWorks’ healthcare practice
InfoWorks, an award-winning management consulting company, announced that Lane Newsom has joined its team as a principal consultant. Newsom, a seasoned professional with 15 years of change management and business strategy experience, will help promote the healthcare services practice of the company and engage with clients to drive stakeholder experience and activation through major business transformations.
Newsom’s experience includes leading organizations of all sizes, from startups to Fortune 10 companies, through business critical transformations. Her specialties include cross-functional process redesign, organizational design, and aligning IT with business and operational units.
“We are privileged to welcome another expert in effective transformation to the InfoWorks team,” said InfoWorks vice president and managing director of Healthcare Services, Rebecca Munn. “Lane is highly skilled in leading organizations through mission critical change and helping those organizations to realize strategic benefits. A healthcare entrepreneur from a family of physicians and business owners, Lane understands the unique challenges facing the modern healthcare industry.”
Prior to joining InfoWorks, Newsom most recently served as a senior leader at a global consulting firm and expert practitioner in change management. She also spent many years working for Microsoft in marketing and business development. Her expertise includes organizational readiness and strategy, stakeholder engagement, internal and external communications, partner and vendor management, outsourcing, and technology transformation.
“The business of healthcare continues to change in fundamental ways,” said Newsom. “Swift and effective change is critical in all care settings to handle the ongoing external pressures of technology, regulation, and revenue management. Without engaging all stakeholders in the design and execution of transformations, a change can cause unintended consequences, from lost dollars to unwanted attrition of critical team members.
“As a consultant, I’ve worked with many companies to plan and execute strategies to realize the benefits of changes of all kinds: technology, managed services, acquisitions and more. I’m looking forward to helping InfoWorks drive similar value for their clients,” she said.
Newsom earned a Bachelor of Science in Math and a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Florida, as well as her MBA in Strategy from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
For two decades, InfoWorks has distinguished itself as a leader in Nashville and Middle Tennessee, providing innovative business and technology consulting services.
