Project Details

Following the acquisition of a regional health system, our client needed project and change management support to integrate the marketing function of the purchased organization with their own. This required a discovery and analysis effort to identify and recommend integration activities inclusive of people, processes, and technologies.

Our team constructed an integration roadmap and progress report (including people, process, and technology components) that were regularly circulated with department leadership. For the people component specifically, the InfoWorks team conducted a resource assessment that aligned headcount and reporting structure to the parent organization’s model.

Upon documenting and reviewing job descriptions, organizational charts, and team strengths/capabilities, the InfoWorks team was able to roadmap three potential future state options and provide recommendations for organizational alignment.

The project and change management support we provided resulted in:

  • Improved communication, with leadership gaining increased visibility regarding project statuses.
  • More efficient decision-making due to progress reports alerting stakeholders about urgent decisions that needed to be escalated.
  • A common understanding of requirements for integration activities.
  • Better alignment between the two organizations and a reduction in duplicate resources.
  • Successful integration of the acquired health system’s marketing functions.
