Project Details

Our client had developed multiple Access HR type databases to hold information about employees for a specific department. Over time, working within multiple databases became unmanageable. They held duplicate data, and it was difficult to for them to find the information they needed.

InfoWorks was engaged to rebuild the database foundation as well as condense the existing databases into a singular, more modernized one that could be easily maintained.

InfoWorks proposed a consolidated custom web application that combined the common pieces of existing applications (i.e., employee demographics and employment history) using modern development stacks and processes.

Throughout the process, InfoWorks consolidated like functionality. We also added a flexible permission system, integrated with their single sign on system, and developed a flexible/extendable workflow sub system to handle process related signoffs.

Our data architecture and application development specialists transformed the design and source control of the client’s database, allowing for a more modular, extendable, and maintainable platform. With the new custom web application, our client was able to continuously develop their data in modernized database
